Important information about the nature of Velodine's role as a platform and the limitations of information published through merchant catalogs.

Platform Role

Outshade Digital Media Pvt. Ltd. (“Velodine”) operates an intermediary platform that enables businesses (“Merchants”) to create and publish digital product catalogs. Velodine is an intermediary as defined under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

Velodine is not a seller, retailer, or marketplace. We do not sell, buy, or take possession of any products listed in merchant catalogs. We do not charge commission on sales, process orders on behalf of merchants, or handle delivery of any goods. All catalog content is created and controlled exclusively by individual Merchants.

Any transaction, negotiation, inquiry, or purchase that occurs between a Merchant and their customer is entirely between those two parties. Velodine is not a party to any such transaction.

Catalog Content Accuracy

All product information displayed in catalogs powered by Velodine — including product names, descriptions, specifications, features, materials, dimensions, and other attributes — is provided entirely by the Merchant who publishes that catalog.

Velodine does not verify, validate, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, truthfulness, or legality of any content published by Merchants. We strongly recommend that customers:

  • Contact the Merchant directly to confirm product details, specifications, and availability before making a purchasing decision.
  • Request samples, certifications, or formal quotations from the Merchant when dealing with high-value purchases.
  • Not rely solely on catalog images or descriptions for technical or safety-critical product requirements.

If you believe a Merchant is publishing false, misleading, or illegal content, please report it to us at abuse@velodine.in. We will review reported content and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.

No Warranty

The Velodine platform and all content accessed through it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Velodine disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability — we make no guarantee that the platform will meet your specific business requirements.
  • Fitness for a particular purpose — the platform is a general-purpose catalog tool, not customised for any specific industry requirement.
  • Non-infringement — we cannot guarantee that Merchant content does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation — while we work hard to maintain high availability, we cannot guarantee that the platform will be free from bugs, downtime, or data errors at all times.

Merchant Transactions

Velodine is not responsible for and expressly disclaims all liability arising from:

  • Product quality or safety:The quality, safety, fitness for use, or legal compliance of any product listed in a merchant’s catalog. All product warranties (express or implied) are between the Merchant and their customer.
  • Delivery and logistics: Any failure to deliver goods, delivery delays, damaged shipments, or logistics disputes.
  • Payment between Merchant and customer: Velodine is not involved in payment processing between Merchants and their customers. Any payment disputes are strictly between those parties.
  • After-sales service:Any warranty claims, returns, repairs, or customer service obligations are entirely the Merchant’s responsibility.
  • Fraud by Merchants: While we work to prevent abuse, Velodine cannot guarantee that all Merchants using our platform are operating in good faith. Customers should perform their own due diligence before transacting with a Merchant.

Disputes between Merchants and their customers should be resolved directly between those parties. Velodine may, at its discretion, assist with dispute resolution as a neutral intermediary, but has no obligation to do so.

Pricing Disclaimer

All prices displayed in Merchant catalogs are set, updated, and controlled exclusively by the respective Merchant. Velodine does not set, regulate, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of any prices shown.

  • Prices displayed are indicative and may not reflect current market rates, seasonal changes, bulk discounts, or GST/tax-inclusive totals unless explicitly stated by the Merchant.
  • A “Price on Request” designation means the Merchant has chosen not to publish a fixed price — the actual price must be confirmed via direct inquiry.
  • Price ranges shown (minimum to maximum) represent the Merchant’s declared range and may vary based on specifications, quantity, and negotiation.
  • Velodine is not liable for any pricing errors, omissions, or changes made by Merchants to their catalog after a customer has viewed it.

Product Availability

Product availability statuses (“In Stock”, “Out of Stock”, “Discontinued”) are managed by individual Merchants and may not reflect real-time inventory. A product shown as “In Stock” may be unavailable at the time of actual inquiry or purchase if the Merchant has not updated their catalog.

Velodine does not integrate with Merchant inventory management systems and cannot guarantee that availability information is accurate or current. Always confirm availability directly with the Merchant before placing an order or making business commitments based on catalog information.

Merchant catalogs or the Velodine marketing website may contain links to third-party websites, social media profiles, or external resources. These links are provided for informational convenience only.

Velodine has no control over the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party websites. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement, affiliation, or approval by Velodine of the linked site or its operators. You access third-party links at your own risk and subject to those websites’ own terms and privacy policies.

No Professional Advice

Nothing on the Velodine platform, in our blog posts, help documentation, email communications, or any other channel constitutes:

  • Legal advice — the Terms, Privacy Policy, and other legal documents on this site are provided for informational purposes and do not substitute for advice from a qualified legal professional.
  • Financial or accounting advice — any pricing or billing information is operational and not a substitute for advice from a chartered accountant or financial advisor.
  • Technical product specifications — product data in merchant catalogs is for catalog and inquiry purposes and should not be relied upon for engineering, safety, or regulatory compliance without independent verification.

Product Images

Product images in merchant catalogs are uploaded by Merchants and are provided for illustrative purposes only. Actual products may vary from catalog images in terms of:

  • Colour accuracy (due to monitor calibration, photography lighting, and image compression).
  • Texture, finish, or surface detail that may not be fully visible in photographs.
  • Scale or dimensions — catalogue images may not be proportionally accurate to actual product sizes.
  • Minor design or specification changes made by the Merchant between the time of photography and the time of purchase.

Velodine does not review, verify, or take responsibility for image accuracy. For accurate product representation, request a sample or showroom visit directly from the Merchant.

Technical Disclaimer

While Velodine employs industry-standard security practices, we cannot guarantee that the platform is free from vulnerabilities, viruses, or malicious code introduced by third parties. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security on your own devices and networks when accessing the Velodine platform.

Velodine may use Progressive Web App (PWA) technology and browser caching on catalog pages. In rare cases, cached content may display outdated product or pricing information. Users experiencing outdated information should perform a hard refresh of the page or clear their browser cache.

AI-assisted features, if introduced in the future, may produce imperfect or incorrect outputs. Any such outputs should be reviewed by a human before being published or acted upon.
